Upon graduating from college, attending graduate school, AND learning to balance all the new responsibilities of “adulthood,” I quickly realized I needed to find a “release” for all these new stressors.
It started out as a simple goal: to run a 5K (3.1 miles) . I can remember thinking, “Geez, 3.1 miles?! I hope I can do this.” When I crossed that finish line of my very first 5K & realized I could do it. My mind began to think, “How far can I really go?” Thus the fire was started in my heart & my running journey began to flourish. 5K’s, 10K’s, half-marathons, & my highest achievement to date–THE marathon.
